Widows Who Wine founder Pam Baker

Welcome to the club you never thought you’d be in.

Hi, I’m Pam Baker — professional multitasker, lifelong optimist, and widow who decided that healing shouldn’t happen in silence … or at least without good company and a glass of wine. After losing my husband Jon to glioblastoma, I realized widowhood came with way too much loneliness and far too little laughter. So I created  Widows Who Wine™ as a joyful rebellion: a place where widows can show up messy, honest, and ready to toast to whatever comes next.

Today, what started as a simple “Hey, want to get a drink?” has grown into a community helping widows everywhere find friendship, courage, and moments of sparkle again. Because life doesn’t end with loss … sometimes it takes the best friends you never knew you needed to help navigate your new chapter.

Toast to what was, and boldly create what’s next.

While our widow journey will always stay with us, laughing through tears, clinking glasses through heartbreak, and finding light in the darkest of places will help you to boldly create the next, beautiful chapter of your life.

This isn’t about grief support.

Grief has its place, and it’s vital to the process. However, the heartbeat of my work intersects where widows want to transition from surviving — to thriving. Thriving is about bold reinvention, deep laughter, and rising through sisterhood.

Rise, rebuild, and live big again.

Widowhood does not have to be dark and depressing. When you’re ready, we honor the past by boldly stepping into what’s next. We’re not here to just get through it. We’re here to rise, rebuild, and live big again with unapologetic pride and purpose.

My Story
  • This has meant so much to me because when I became a widow, I thought I would never experience joy in my life again. I am so happy to be proven wrong. These women have accepted my grief, and I have learned from every one of their journeys. I am beyond grateful.

  • A friend who was already part of the group encouraged me to attend an event, and I’m so thankful I decided to give it a try. Since then, I’ve found a community of friends I will cherish always. They aren’t just friends from my widows’ group—they are true friends who genuinely understand one another.

  • Joining Widows who Wine has made me feel supported and encouraged throughout the grief journey . Meeting other widows helped me gain confidence and clarity. I’d recommend WWW its a special group of women with a great leadership.

  • This group of women has truly been the medicine for my soul. My healing journey has been filled with love and support from each and every one. Thank you, Pam! I love you and will always be grateful for your bravery and vision. We are all truly Widow Warriors.
